Outer Banks Season 4 has returned with a thrilling two-part release on Netflix. Part 1 premiered on October 10, 2024, with five episodes running between 42 and 62 minutes. The adventure continues on November 7, 2024, when the final five episodes wrap up the season’s intense treasure hunt storyline and resolve suspenseful mysteries introduced in the first half.
In the opening of Part 1, the Pogues – John B, Sarah, Kiara, JJ, Pope, and Cleo – are back on Kildare Island after their epic discovery of gold in El Dorado. As they settle back into life on the OBX, they build “Poguelandia 2.0,” their version of a haven, and run a small bait, tackle, and tour business. However, they soon encounter financial troubles and are forced to seek help from Wes Genrette, an acquaintance from the previous season. Wes presents them with an opportunity: a high-stakes quest for Blackbeard’s legendary treasure for $50,000, bringing new perils and fierce competition.
The Pogues face fresh challenges, including navigating dangerous underwater and underground territories while trying to keep their fledgling business alive. The season adds tension with several cliffhangers, like an unexpected twist in JJ’s backstory and a puzzling link between characters Chandler Groff and Hollis.
The main cast includes Chase Stokes as John B, Madelyn Cline as Sarah, Madison Bailey as Kiara, Jonathan Daviss as Pope, and Rudy Pankow as JJ. Co-created by Jonas Pate, Josh Pate, and Shannon Burke, the series continues to enjoy a strong fan following and solid ratings on Netflix, where it remains a Top 10 favorite. As fans wait for Part 2, anticipation is high to see how this new chapter in the Pogues’ adventure unfolds.
